1. Acceptance of terms

By using the Rumi Black website, mobile interfaces, or transportation services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The service

Rumi Black operates a platform that connects passengers with independent or operator-affiliated chauffeurs for reserved transportation. We are not a common carrier. Trips are quoted, booked, and paid for through the Service.

3. Account and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and book a ride. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

4. Booking, payment, and cancellation

Fares are quoted upfront and authorized at booking. Every booking includes a 20% service fee, shown as a separate line on your quote and receipt; the full service fee is paid to the driver. The fare is captured after the trip. Cancellation fees apply per our cancellation policy: free 60+ minutes before pickup, 50% fee 15–59 minutes before pickup, full fare under 15 minutes or after driver arrival.

5. User obligations

You agree to provide accurate trip information, treat drivers with respect, and not use the Service for unlawful purposes. Damage caused to a vehicle by a passenger may be billed to the booking account.

6. Liability

Rumi Black acts as a booking platform. While we vet drivers and operators, transportation services are provided by independent chauffeurs and operators. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the amount paid for the trip in question.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that are used for fraudulent activity. You can close your account at any time by contacting support.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email and posted on this page with an updated date.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
